Restaurant Week 2015
Restaurants all along the Grand Strand will be participating in Restaurant Week 2015 from January 8-18, 2015. This is a 9-day celebration that’s a great opportunity to check out some of the amazing restaurants in the area at discounted prices. Special menus and selections at some of the best restaurants in Myrtle Beach will be available. Participating restaurants include Aspen Grille, The Brentwood Restaurant & Wine Bistro, Castano's Italian Steakhouse, Croissants Bistro & Bakery, The Parson's Table, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Cafe Amalfi, Greg Norman's Australian Grille and Sam Snead's Oak Grill and Tavern.
Thunder & Light featuring All That!
This show features the original choreography by nationally-renowned clogging group All That! A multi-million dollar laser light show it is produced by groundbreaking producer/director Jeffrey Gilmore. The Carolina Opry's all-new Thunder & Light show is a must-see! This entirely new live production will get you up close and personal with amazing dancing of All That! — the group that has been features multiple times on "America's Got Talent" and at The Carolina Opry for several years — and features the same multi-colored 5-laser show that toured with Pink Floyd and Madonna. Tickets are $29.95 for adults and $21 for children. An Evening with Garrison Keillor
On Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 6 p.m., writer, actor and radio personality, Garrison Keillor, will perform one night only at The Calvin Gilmore Theater. An Evening with Garrison Keiller will feature his personal stories about his childhood, fatherhood and his career. Keillor is known for his works like Lake Wobegon Days and A Prairie Home Companion and has been awarded a Grammy, Cable ACE awards and more.
Conway Chocolate Walk
Downtown Conway will host a day of shopping and chocolate delights on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visit the local shops and restaurants and enjoy the chocolate treats they've created. Don't forget to grab a goodie bag to bring some of the treats home for later! This annual event is sponsored by Coastal Carolina University, PCRX Computers, HTC and Santee Cooper. There will be 35 businesses participating in the fun event and tickets are expected to sell out. Ticket prices are $18/person and can be purchased online or by phone at 843-248-6260.
